We call it ‘Ballroom dancing‘Out of reason and then it got to a point where the new dancers don’t know the basic dance etiquette and the older dancers have forgotten a lot about it. I started dancing more than 10 years ago and noticed that things have changed a lot and have moved towards anti-social dancing. We had a panel discussion in SALSA CAFE at the 4th Latin Festival Madras 2017 and threw artists and dancers on the subject of ‘Forgotten Etiquette of Social Dance’. I have consolidated the main points from the Salsa Cafe and some more from various discussions with dancers from different cities and countries. These are not unknown or new, but we all needed a reminder. This isn’t the ultimate list of things you should and shouldn’t do. But this is a start to a healthy salsa community.
